In a public advisory, officials urged beneficiaries to cooperate with verification but to remain cautious.
If you receive a call:
- Provide only your correct and accurate personal information.
- Do NOT share your OTP, ATM PIN, bank account password, or any other sensitive banking details.
Important notice:
GEEP MONI does not require any payment for registration, verification, or loan disbursement. Do not pay anyone claiming to represent the programme.
Officials said official calls are reportedly coming from numbers beginning with 020-200.
If you miss a call, do not panic — the verification team may call back.
Applicants are advised to keep their phones switched on, answer unknown calls where possible, and watch out for official updates on the programme.
