Movie Producer, Adanma Luke Asked Marine Police To Arrest Me Over Boat Accident That Killed Actor ‘Junior Pope’, Survivor Alleges


Tochukwu who spoke in a viral video seen by SaharaReporters alleged that the director insisted he was the cause of the accident.

Nollywood actor, Actor Tochukwu, who escaped the boat accident that led to the death of his fellow actor, Junior Pope, has revealed that the film director, Adanma Luke, attempted to arrest him after the incident.

Tochukwu who spoke in a viral video seen by SaharaReporters alleged that the director insisted he was the cause of the accident.

In the video, Tochukwu said the boat operator informed Adanma Luke that he blocked his view while on the trip and that led to the tragic incident.

He said, “I said my heart no fit rest if I don’t go there (back to the river) because these persons nah my colleagues. Omo, as I dey talk what happen finish, the boy just come and say police people dey call me. I said any police wey win see me now, make e come see me here. See my head now dey shake, make dem come see me here. The next thing police talk be say if they have to take me to Onitsha with boat, I said with a boat, God just rescue my life, you wan still carry me with boat go there. They say no they have a life jacket for me, I say e be like say something dey worry them.

“Adanma Luke asked the marine police to arrest me because the boat operator was lying that I stood up during the trip so he could not see the oncoming boat.”

“Are you a mad man (Referring to the boat operator)? As slim as I am, I stood in front of the boat and you can’t see, are you okay?” the actor asked.

The Anambra State Police Command on Friday said that its marine unit had recovered the bodies of the three remaining victims of the tragic boat accident.
