Tems, a Nigerian international music sensation, has been named to the Times 100 Next List for 2023.
Tems is a recognized international sensation from Nigeria whose music has garnered her the praise and admiration of some of the world’s top performers.
In another huge step forward, the R&B sensation has been named to the Times 100 Next list, which honors 100 young people from around the world who are accomplishing notable things and impacting the future in fields such as health, climate, business, sports, the arts, and more.
Tems is on the 2023 list alongside American music producer Metro Booming and 2023 breakout rap sensation Ice Spice.
Kali Uchis, Hailey Bieber, and Peso Pluma are among the other famous names on the list.
Tems has had phenomenal success since emerging into the worldwide stage with her amazing contribution to Wizkid’s mega-hit “Essence.”
Tems became the first Nigerian female vocalist to win a Grammy after winning the 2023 Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for her efforts to Future’s “Wait For U.” She was also the first Nigerian artist to debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
She has three BET awards and an Oscar nomination for her work on Rihanna’s “Lift Me UP.”
Tems’ inclusion on the list was accompanied by a gushing description written by American Grammy winner and Oscar contender Mary J Blige, who described the Nigerian singer as “unique and original.”

Tems is preparing to release her debut album, which audiences and critics anticipate will propel the singer to greater heights.
