Two die of bomb explosion in Nasarawa

Two persons have been killed in Keffi metropolis, the headquarters of Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State by an explosion suspected to be a bomb.

The incident was said to have happened in the early hours of Sunday, opposite General Hospital, along Nasarawa Road, Keffi.

A source told DAILY POST that as early as 6am on Sunday, residents of Keffi town trooped out in their numbers to the scene of the two-bedroom residential apartment that was affected by the explosion.

According to the source, “the incident killed two male occupants of the rented apartment in the area.”

He explained that the victims returned to Keffi from their journey on Saturday afternoon.

He alleged that they (victims) were on the wanted list of the Department of State Security (DSS) before nemesis caught up with them, stressing that the victims understood that the DSS operatives had surrounded their house and had no option rather than to blow off themselves with an explosive.
