Niger: Kidnapped Islamic pupil dies in captivity

A three-year-old child of Salihu Tanko Islamic School, Tegina, Niger State, who was kidnapped alongside other pupils has died in captivity.

The child’s body, according to a source from the town, was abandoned few kilometres away from the community.

The child’s death was attributed to fever and trauma caused by gunshots.

A parent to one of the abducted children, Tanko Zegi, confirmed the death of the child to reporters.
