Arsene Wenger: Why N’Golo Kante is Europe’s best midfielder

After a superb performance in the UEFA Champions League final against Man City, former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has rated N’Golo Kante as the best midfielder in Europe.

Wenger in an interview with beIN SPORTS, stated that Kante has proved beyond doubt that he’s the best all-round midfielder in Europe.

The 30-year-old won Man of the Match in both legs of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, as well as the final against Manchester City. His performances have led to calls for him to win the Ballon d’Or.

However, the French tactician said that the Chelsea star is an exceptional ball winner.

“N’Golo Kante has added something to his game.

“Before he won the ball and made a good pass, he was an exceptional ball winner.

“I say an exceptional ball-winner because he wins decisive balls without making a foul.

“But he is now capable of running with the ball and making a good pass in the final third.

“That’s why I am certain he is the best all-round midfielder in Europe at the moment.”
