
ADO-EKITI – The directorate of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) has unveiled a plan to engage 10,000 households and 400 youths in its Waste Management Project Initiatives.
Eyitayo Fabunmi, the NYSC chairman in Ekiti State, who hinted this, said a proposal on the project had been submitted to the state government .
Explaining the workings of the project, Fabunmi said that Ado metropolis would be subdivided into 10 different districts.
According to him, places like, eateries, market places, school premises, motor parks, residential premises, hotels, inns and petrol stations would be part of the coverage areas of the proposal.
Specifically, he said 10,000 household had been mapped out for the pilot stage of the project in Ado-Ekiti State.
Fabunmi also expressed confidence that the project would not only enhance clean environment, but also increase the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and also afford the youths the opportunity to contribute their quota in nation building through self-help community project initiatives and environmental hazard control.
